Bachelor's Degree Programs

MSU Dubai provides all Bachelor's degree students with a broad intellectual foundation that stimulates rigorous thought, critical inquiry, and career-development knowledge and skills. The programs offered at Dubai International Academic City (DIAC) and Knowledge Village meet the same high-quality standards as those offered in East Lansing, Michigan, and the same diploma will be awarded at the time of graduation. All of the academic standards of Michigan State University apply in both locations. Classes offered in Dubai will be taught by MSU faculty members and other qualified experts who are excellent scholars and professionals committed to and experienced in teaching, research, and academic service.

  • Child and Youth Development
    Child and Youth Development (CYD) is a concentration within the Bachelor of Science in Family Community Services. CYD graduates will be able to develop, deliver, and manage programs for youth and children in a variety of settings, such as youth agencies, after-school programs, recreational programs, and social services programs. They will also be able to serve as counselors for at-risk youth, as youth advocates with governmental policy makers, and as providers of support services for youth with mental or physical disabilities.

  • Computer Engineering. Computer Engineering students acquire a solid foundation in computer engineering theory and its application in real world settings. Computer engineering graduates have successful careers in fields such as aerospace, bio-medical systems, energy and electric power, embedded systems, environmental research and development, semi-conductors, and telecommunications. To launch your career in these fields, earn your Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering.

  • Construction Project Management. The Construction Project Management program focuses on project management in the construction industry. Graduates fill the management gap between skilled labor trades and upper management, rising quickly to middle and upper level management positions in project management companies, construction companies, and general contracting firms. If this expanding field captures your interest, begin work on a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management.

  • Early Childhood Education. Early Childhood Education (ECE) is a concentration within the Bachelor of Science in Family Community Services. ECE graduates will be prepared to develop, deliver, and manage programs for young children in daycare centers, pre-schools, and service centers for special needs children; work as childcare consultants with teachers and parents; and work with agencies to prevent child abuse and teach best practices in early childhood education.

  • Media Management and Research. Students earning a Bachelor of Science in Media and Communication Technology acquire a fundamental understanding of communication techniques, media and communication technology management, economics, policy, research, and design. The degree prepares students for leadership positions in fields such as TV, cinema, radio, interactive media, and other forms of information communication technology.
