Tuition Costs and Payment Schedule

Enrollment Deposit
Admitted students will receive a complete schedule of tuition, fees, and payment dates with their acceptance letter.

All students admitted to Michigan State University’s Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs must pay a non-refundable enrollment deposit of AED 2450 within four weeks of the date of admission in order to secure their place in the incoming class.  Space in the class is filled based on the receipt date of the deposit. The enrollment deposit shall be credited toward the first payment of tuition.

Tuition
The discounted tuition for 2008-09 undergraduate (Bachelor’s) academic programs will be approximately AED 28,900 per semester (AED 57,800 per academic year) for those who pay their fall semester bill in full by 7 August, 2008, and their spring semester bill in December, 2008 (date to be determined).  For those who choose to use the payment plan, the non-discounted rate will be AED 29,100 per semester.

The discounted tuition for 2008-09 post-graduate (Master’s) academic programs will be approximately AED 3700 per credit hour, payable in full by 7 August, 2008.  Those who choose the payment plan option will be charged AED 3730 per credit hour.

Payment Plan
Michigan State University Dubai offers a payment plan based on the following schedule.

Payment plan dates are as follows:

  • 50% tuition due           7 August 2008
  • 25% tuition due           1 October 2008
  • 25% tuition due           3 November 2008

The enrollment deposit will be applied toward the first 50% due.

Accessing Your Bill
Upon admission to the university, students are provided with a PID (Personal Identification Number) and PAN (Personal Access Number) along with instructions about how to immediately activate their MSU NetID account. The MSU NetID enables students to receive important communications from the university, including billing notices.

Course Cancellation for Non-Payment
The course enrollment of students who do not pay the minimum amount due (50% tuition) by the due date will be canceled. 

Re-enrollment dates and fees will be as follows:

  • AED 150 late enrollment fee to re-enroll in classes prior to the 1st day (8/24/08)
  • AED 300 late enrollment fee to re-enroll in classes between the first day of class through mid-semester
  • AED 600 late enrollment fee to re-enroll in classes if middle of the semester or after 

The university reserves the right to make changes in the types, structures, and rates for fees, deposits, and tuition.  Students will be notified if changes are made.

Inaugural Merit
Scholarship Program

Up to ten (10) MSU Dubai Inaugural Merit Scholarships will be awarded for the year beginning 2008-09. Each scholar will receive an AED 10,000 tuition remission applicable to the inaugural year (2008-09).

Scholars must maintain good academic standing at MSU Dubai for the duration of the 08/09 academic year.
